Field visit and co-design workshop in South Tyrol

On June 14, the first field visit took place and the first co-design workshop for local and regional stakeholders was tested in Ora/Auer, SouthTyrol.

The day started with a walk to explore the local landscape system where the agri-PV demonstrator is integrated. The walk included climbing the closed hill of Castelfeder to observe the demo plant from above and understand the local landscape mosaic and its functioning. Participants also visited the agrivoltaic demo plant on apples in #Binnenland, where they learned about the installed system and its way of working.

In the afternoon, we gathered for a co-design workshop at the local public library of Ora/Auer, where local and regional residents and stakeholders worked in groups to map the local landscape values and envision how agrivoltaic systems can be integrated and provide additional ecosystem services, besides the solar energy generation.

This participatory approach is rooted in the principles of the European Landscape Convention, promoting collective awareness and shared responsibility in shaping our living habitats.

Participants included representatives from local landscape NGOs, local economic actors, local experts from various disciplines, officers from the regional administrations, students, and teachers.

A huge thank you to all participants and collaborators:
